Lights Out highest converting asset in the demand journey for Cisco security
Evolution of the Network
Cisco is a large company that is traditionally known just for Networking. How can they get their voice heard in the crowded and fast-moving security space?
By talking about the dangers that lurk on the network and Cisco’s solutions to thwart them. Some of the stories are scary and dramatic, others are just plain funny.
Lights Out ranked number nine YouTube Commercial in the UK
Anatomy of an Attack had over 14 Million views on YouTube
Disrupt the Perception of Cisco
We designed a narrative that stated simply, Cisco built the network, who better to secure it.
From that, we created the bold, fast-paced, and conversational voice which has gone onto embody the Lights Out Video.
Lights Out takes the point-of-view of a Chief Security officer wrestling with a question from the CEO. Are we secure?
What follows has been a video series that repositioned Cisco as not just the leader in networking, but the brand that builds the most effective security network architectures in the world.
Anatomy of an Attack
This dramatic video series breaks down how cyberattacks truly happen, debunking preconceptions about who’s behind them and demonstrating their devastating repercussions. The cinematic narratives are told in a gritty yet serious storytelling style laden with technical terminology our core audience recognizes and associates with real-world threats. This approach has been key in driving them to re-evaluate their security solution options.
Cisco Partnered with First Person to Tell Their Security story
Dave the IT Guy
How do you educate a non-IT audience about cybersecurity without scaring them?
By making them funny.
In this humorous series, our cast of characters is thrust into any number of network security-related situations found in a typical enterprise business. Dave, the company’s security expert, breaks down these issues into simple concepts to help his hapless co-workers better understand security. The result is laugh-out-loud.
Help the CMO Tell Her story
We created an anthem video to set-up Karen Walker, Cisco CMO’s speech at the Cisco Partner Summit in San Francisco. The theme for this video was born from the idea that human experts that make the real magic happen behind the industry-leading technology and advanced suite of services that Cisco offers. That human connection can get lost in the narrative, so this video was designed, both in its message and visual style, to celebrate the personal aspects of Cisco’s ability to help guide and support their customers throughout the lifecycle of their business.
This entire production, from initial pitch to final delivery was on a super tight schedule. Scouting, casting, production design and nine script revisions were crammed into five days of pre-production. Then we hit the ground running for a two-day shoot. Leaving us just enough time to pull it all together.
It was a whirlwind effort and a huge success.
Just wanted to pass along a big thank you for all the help with the visuals. They were stunning!
Cisco Brand Reboot
Back in 2012, Cisco completely rebooted their brand identity. We were fortunate enough to be part of the development of the first-ever Motion Brand guidelines and template.
The brand experience needed to feel more flexible, approachable and in tune with Cisco's aspiration for “changing the way we work, live, play, and learn.”
We went to work creating video templates for logo animations, titling, lower thirds, opening and closing sequences. The templates allow creators the flexibility to design a cohesive experience across brand assets. We also created custom Adobe After Effects templates that are controlled via a custom interface allowing for on the fly control of color, type, and motion.
