Google turned to First Person to create a series of commercial spots for Google Play that elegantly showed the fluidity of the product across multiple devices. Additionally, we were tasked with featuring the latest and greatest Android devices. The challenge was how to demonstrate this functionality in a simple story.
We worked with Yovel Schwartz of Studio G to screen capture the Play interface from different mobile devices. The captures were editorialized to a contemporary pop tune. Next we recreated the interfaces to enable the views to be very simple and shown in extreme closeup. Finally, they were composited onto animated 3D devices, to create a fluid story. 1P and Studio G created individual spots for all of Googles Play's service offerings - TV, Magazine, Music and Movies. The spots were so popular they have been localized for several global regions.
