Stefan is 6’8” tall. It’s the first thing anyone who meets him notices so it might as well be the first thing mentioned in his biography. But his gargantuaness isn’t the only thing big about him. He has a big heart, an enormous fascination with creativity and human behavior, and a lifelong love of story. Which makes him ideal for his role as Creative Director at First Person.
Before First Person, Stefan peddled his wares as Creative Director for DEG, Hint, Callahan Creek, and Brainyard. He has also authored six books, the most recent being Creative Boot Camp: Generate Ideas in Greater Quantity & Quality In 30 Days. Previously, he authored Chasing the Monster Idea, co-authored Caffeine for the Creative Team and Caffeine for the Creative Mind with Wendy Lee Oldfield, and penned Redesigning Websites and Simple Websites.
Stefan is a regular speaker at creative industry conferences, conducts creativity and story workshops for corporate teams and creative groups, writes frequently for a variety of creative industry rags like HOW and PRINTMagazine, is a seven-time LinkedIn Learning and two-time CreativeLive author, won numerous industry awards, and been known to embarrass himself and those around him if given the opportunity.
When he’s not diving into our client’s audience behaviors or leading ideation swarms at First Person, you can either find Stefan on a golf course apologizing for wayward tee shots or in a movie theater with his wife, Niqua, and daughter, Caitlyn, wrestling over the popcorn tub.
